Laying down the Law

Suprised to get a lot of questions on my Youtube page - had to post the hell out of the comment section to get the following across:

UPDATES

Hello,

Thanks for the comments and new points made, great to see such interesting additions. With regards to several questions that keep coming up I’ll answer them over a series of posts.

A)    - I only make videos for stuff I have taught and have had students achieve A*s in – If I haven’t taught it, I can’t help. These are your GCSEs and super important, so I wouldn’t tell learners something, knowingly, that I wasn’t 100% sure of. In light of this there will be nothing on ‘Heroes’, ‘Kestrel..’ or ‘Catcher…’. Apologies but I’m sure you don’t want me pissing around with your GCSEs. (I do however send commiserations to anyone reading ‘Catcher…’ – it is the only book I never finished reading, those of you who suffered it, will know why.)

B)   - I will try to do ‘To Kill…’ as soon as I find my notes on it, God willing it’ll be up before Monday (Late I know, but it is the weekend and I have to go out now and at least PRETEND I have a life.)

C)   - I am happy to put up A* examples to the above titles as they may be easy to find, HOWEVER, that would be by my reckoning and the only ones that I’ve used so far are AQA marked ones; as mine is just opinion, whereas AQA are the up-on-high, gate-keeper types who will be giving out the certificates. If such essays will be of use, please comment to that effect and I will TRY to source them, via my notes, other teachers and all of those cheat-note / essay writing sites we asked you not to use for coursework.

D)   - The Head of English at my school has kindly offered to help with some of the videos and he should have the Clarke poems completed by tomorrow, God willing. The astute amongst you will recognize him as the one with the different voice.

E)   - As for those asking for help with other subjects, I know bm124 has some for Science and Math as well as English. I have no idea how good the ones for the other subjects are but their English stuff is very good so you could try there. Furthermore, I have been messaged by a channel called WildernRevision offering Science and Math video tutorials, again the quality is unknown but they are offering it so feel free to take a look. (I do warn though not to be misled by the title; I doubt there is anything ‘wild’ or ‘wilder’ about the videos. They are in fact based at a school called Wildern as best I understand it.)

F)    - I hope to do a last minute revision for Lit. tomorrow night so you have Monday to absorb it in preparation for regurgitation on Tuesday.

G)   - I CANNOT mark anything for you, please don’t request me to do so (dozens have) I apologise but it would be a never-ending cycle if I started and the only things that are never-ending cycles are Harry Potter re-runs, the fact your parents will always nag and the Arsenal’s quest for silverware.

- Phew – apologies for the headache inducing length of this note, but I do hope that has answered some questions.  Good luck with the revision, peace be with you and please keep adding original insightful comments to which I am sure will be of great help to other students.

Leon
